Archaeological reserve Genius Loci is a branch of the Poznań Archaeological Museum located on the Cathedral Island (Ostrów Tumski). The newly created building houses an enormous archaeological excavation with perfectly preserved relics of a timber and stone defensive structure from the 10th century, the wall that surrounded the stronghold of the first rulers of the Piast dynasty. Here, visitors can admire the great work of mediaeval engineering. Thanks to the modern multimedia, everyone has a unique opportunity to explore the history of this place from various angles and perspectives.
